Design
For the G Series M2 we have taken full advantage of improving the intake system by not just replacing the intake but also the turbo inlets.
The flared out turbo inlets are significantly larger than the stock units and are designed to smooth out and increase air speed into the turbo impellers. The turbo inlets are fed are by enlarged tapered intake tubes which take their air from our bespoke air filters which are housed in fully encapsulated air ducts / filter housings. We have spent a significant amount of time designing our air ducts and optimising them beyond the norm by having three cold air feeds. The first feed comes from the frontal factory air inlet. The second is a frontal air feed which are located in a region where we tested only ambient air reaches. The third and final feeds are the most interesting. They take from the gap between the chassis and wheel arch liners which face directly downwards.
This design strategy ensures the maximum amount of air at the lowest possible intake temperature.
The final result is a stunning under bonnet appearance matched with a more eager and smoother throttle response. More torque available faster and an intake sound which is sophisticated under load.

Air Filtration
Within the beautifully shaped carbon shaped enclosures sits our bespoke short stack high surface area filter larger than any cone filter design currently on offer on the market with a huge opening of 170mm (6 3/4") and is designed to take full advantage of the intake tubes by altering the direction of the airflow towards the outer walls. By placing the air filters in front of the inlet tube we achieve the largest velocity stack ever seen for the S58 and which also has the best laminar flow. It is important to note that we have painstakingly opted for the largest possible air filter for a various number of reasons. Not only does a larger air filter allow for more air flow and therefore power but it also does not block up for longer and continues to be efficient at it's main purpose which is to filter the air of harmful elements.
Air Intake Temperatures | Heat Soak
The result is a system which matches the factory intake system for inlet temperatures. In addition the system changes the air flow characteristics for a smoother delivery and allows more air to enter the turbos more easily.
This fully developed and intelligently designed intake system is not just something that looks good in the engine bay but does an impeccable job as an air smoothing device, increasing air available, increasing air speed into the turbo's, allowing the turbo's to spool faster, filters for longer more efficiently, keeps intake air temperatures low and making a sophisticated race car like intake noise under load. Most important of all, it is the way the engine becomes more alive, responsive and enjoyable to use not just under full load but also normal every day driving.
Dyno Test
Dyno tests were performed under strict controlled conditions on an independent Dyno Dynamics machine in order to show a true and realistic result.
A healthy and genuine increase of 12-16hp | 10-15 lb.ft from 5500-7000rpm with a much faster turbo spool up time at lower rpm with a small increase in midrange power from 4200-5000rpm.
The results shown are the highest stock result (run 7) vs the first run immediately after fitting the intake (run 8). Many companies will use up to multiple runs in order to show larger gains as the ECU adapt and tyre temperature / pressures increase.
